Do I need to be running NoScript on Firefox if I'm running Ubuntu, or is that pretty much superfluous? Just curious.

TIA.

It's not really superfluous, or I don't really need to run it?

It is not necessary, but I sure do like it!
Is it a security concern for you?

You don't really need to worry about nasty stuff getting trough and infection your system.

But noscript does more than that.

In ubuntu you can still have those sites that mess up firefox or open a thousand pop-ups.

So no-script can still be useful.

I don't use it however.

I've had one of those sites once, nothing a swift "alt+f4" can't handle.

Or go to another workspace, open a terminal and do the good old "pkill firefox".
