Those of us who are using ATI All-In-Wonder cards need the Gatos drivers to make the cards fully functional. The ATI Gatos code has been merged into xorg cvs, and will be in the regular release starting with xorg 7. Until then, can we get a cvs deb? Or is there one and I'm unable to find it?

cvs = sources your must compile yourself. I don't think a debian package would really work.
It's probably best to wait for an official release anyways. Well for me at least. Seems like building xorg would a be a hard task. :???:

Check out this repo:

If Tex can create RPMs based on unstable versions of xorg, I don't see why Ubuntu can't create DEBs. I realize that in 30 days time (as I write this) xorg 7 will be released, and the code AIW users need will be there. Still, it would be nice to start using it now.

Daniel Stone has been working his pants off to get xorg 7 into Ubuntu, and we'll doubtless be the first distro to have it working nicely. A lot of it even showed up in Breezy.
