[SOLVED] Desktop effect not getting enabled

Hi I installed mint this morning,
Installed the NVIDIA drivers. but when i try to enable desktop drivers it says cannot enable desktop effects. SImply this.

Gives no reason

Any pointers?

Type this in the terminal and copy and past back what it says:

compiz --replace

[aman.agx]

Just found this on one of the mint forums. I was facing the exact problem.

Looks like the solution.
