So I'm trying to dual boot Ubuntu Studio 8.04.1 on my MacBook. What I've done so far:
Installed rEFiT.
Boot Camped 50 Gigs
Installed Ubuntu Studio 8.04.1 on the 50GBs
Synced partitions in rEFiT

Now everytime I try to load Ubuntu, I get a weird multi-colored, error-like screen that looks like my graphics chip died and then a black screen all after the Ubuntu Studio loading page. I tried to do this: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=426824 to no avail. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

If you are seeing black after all of that, you may have bad, or wrong video drivers. You will need to use the command line or maybe a reinstall to fix that from my experience with that sort of thing.

Honestly, I'm still kinda new, but now you know closer to what you are lookin for. I recommend a reinstall, and make sure you check the disk for errors (in the menu when you boot) and see if that fixes it. If the disk has errors, that might have done it.
