To get VirtualBox to pass...
ctrl+tab - switch applications in the guest instead of the host.
ctrl+esc - open the start menu in windows.
...press both of the ctrl keys. These combinations (and probably others) will then be passed to the guest. Press both of the ctrl keys again and these combinations will be passed to the host again.
In searching for how to do this I didn't have any luck, and then accidently discovered how to do it. The search in the VirtualBox help with the chm viewer didn't seem to work - maybe it might have told me. Also, I read a post saying Host Key + `, 1, 2 did these various combinations but it didn't work for me. I hope people find it useful. Cheers.
