I'm running Kubuntu 8.04 KDE4 and attempting to transfer files to and from my Sansa e200.

The Sansa is running rockbox, but all file transferring takes place while running the original firmware.

Alright, when I plug the Sansa in, it displays the usual Connected, then Disconnected, then Connected again, and the dialog to open the sansa pops up to open it with Dolphin. All good so far. However, as soon as I do anything to actually connect to the Sansa, open it in Dolphin or connect with Amarok, KDE says that the folder is not there and my Sansa switches to Disconnected. All the while, it charges fine, and my Sansa has worked fine on other computers.

Any thoughts on how to fix this? Thanks!

Alright, it seems to work somewhat better if I restart the computer with the Sansa plugged in, but that's sort of a half-assed solution, no? Anyways, it shows up in lsusb, must dmesh has an error about errors with the FAT filesystem.

Set the USB into MSC mode on the player if not.
