Good day,
I am trying to setup an ubuntu server that can share an internet connection with a number of differnt PCS.
I currenlty have the network wired like so:
16 Port switch with 1 standard windows vista pc and 1 ubuntu linux server box.
1 D-Link DSL-G604T ADSL Router/Modem connected to the ubuntu linux box.
I have found a few starting points that sugest the use of IP table or IP masquearding, but I notice they all suggest to plug the modem into the switch, one of the reasons I am doing this setup is to control the Internet access that the network computers have. Won't plugging the modem into the switch destory the point of having a linux server?
Any help is greatly apreciated...
