Koolu Net Appliance - 8.04.1 on server with 7.1 on client?

Is anyone using Mythbuntu 8.04.1 on a server and Mythbuntu 7.1 on a Koolu Net Appliance client?

Would this combination work or would I need to run the same version of Mythbuntu on my server?

The Koolu machine can't run later than 7.1.

I want to use the Net Appliance as a low-power, silent client.

Any advice appreciated!

I believe an updated 7.10 machine running mythtv .21 should work.

No, you need to run the same version of mythtv, not the same release level of ubuntu.
