Hello people, I do own www.ubuntuforums.be which I now are giving away to who wants it. Not full control though, but tell me the name-servers or if it's gonna be redirected :)

And I'm sure you're going to keep renewing it for them for free after the free year from .be is up, right. Who wants a .be domain anyways :-p

This has my vote also.
It's better to have one place to find support then a lot of different places.

Well, I took it so no one else should take it. But, if you don't want it I can use it for my own purposes...
But the other ones want to redirevt it here so I probably will :)

All I was saying is that there's no sense in publicizing a domain name that will likely only be around for 364 more days (since I doubt you'll actually pay each year to have it renewed.)
But forwarding it to here sounds good for now ;)

If you don't know .html then just use this code. Feel free to modify.
<html>
<head>

<meta name="DESCRIPTION" content="Ubuntu Forums">
<title>Ubuntu Forums</title>
</head>
<frameset rows="100%,*" border="0" frameborder="0" framespacing="0">
<frame name="uniframe1" src="www.ubuntuforums.org" border="0" noresize>
<frame name="uniframe2" src="about:blank" border="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" noresize>
<noframes>

If you're going to do that, then please contact ubuntu-geek and he will give more information on that.
Also, when redirecting a .be which in my view is belgium, I could be wrong, but it will need to be changed in that language if it will be shown as a .be for users who are going to be going to that url.
I know what you mean by redirecting and the url changing, but if users from that country see it as a .be they will think it's for their language.

I would not redirect it here for the reason that Seth brougt up when it expires what will you do. + you can just tell people the .org address, why give out 2 addys it makes no sence.

Well, I have registered it for free and just wondered what to do with it. I can't see the problem with redirecting but ok...

Almost every webhosting provider here in Belgium offers it ;-)
