Hi,

I had hardy working on my computer for about 4 days, then the wireless stopped working. Then, after logging in, I would get stuck on a brown screed (the default background color) with no mouse. After reboot, I just got a black screen and no GDM. I tried reinstalling several times, and I'm getting the blank screens, sometimes the black screen, and sometimes the GDM then brown screen. Now, not even a previously working liveCD will run for me. I have no idea why. I'm thinking it may be a hardware problem, but is it possible to be a software problem?

Also, it seems that none of my wireless network adapters work after I upgrade from gutsy to hardy. Did they remove support for some adapters?

Please help, I'm willing to put in a lot of time and effort to not use windows.

Thanks,
Kevin

sorry to hear that dude, it sounds awfully strange though, you should be able to at least run the livecd.

could you post your specs, perhaps there's something there.

did you have gutsy running before?
