I use my Ubuntu partition for 99% of my daily computing, but just like other gamers out there I use my XP portion for some good games.

I heard something about people creating custom XP installation CDs for only gaming. Anyone know about information about this? I know there are tweaks and processes to stop but I feel like there is still more that could be optimized (specially since I only use it for games...period). I have a pretty decent setup but I still find that games like Call of Duty 4 can run choppy

You can disable Services you don't need, here's a guide:

There's many more guides, just Google "XP Services".

You can strip a lot of unnecessary stuff from XP before install by using nLite

Apart from that it's mostly down to GFX Card, CPU, and Memory.
