While reinstalling Mythbuntu, I selected the manual disk setup option. I told it /dev/sda1 was for swap, /dev/sda2 should be formatted and mounted at /, and that /dev/sda3 should be mounted at /var/files but NOT formatted. A dialog appeared and recommended I format it and I explicitly told it not to. Before I advanced to the next screen, I double checked to make sure the FORMAT box next to /dev/sda3 was unchecked.
So after installation finished, what do I find? The whole drive was formatted, wiping out all my config and database backups, recordings, and all my media. Gone.
Can someone explain why the installer can't follow directions?
