View Full Version : [ubuntu] Ubuntu on Powermac G4

Hey, I recently just purchased two used Powermac G4 with 450mhz procs. each. They came without OS9 reinstall disks, and without an operating system in general. I tried putting Ubuntu on them, but they won't boot when I hold down "c" at bootup. How could I go about installing Ubuntu? **I tried the 64bit version** Thanks!

The Powermac g4 is 32bit! How did you burn your cd? It must be an .iso

Yea, you have to use the PPC version of Ubuntu, and you cannot use 64bit. See the PowerPC Sticky in this forum:
