MythDVD: problems ripping

I've been backing up a few DVDs lately and they don't rip properly. For example, one recently ripped 1 h 34 mins perfectly, and then just cut off. Another ripped the whole thing, but the timecoding stopped at some time around 1 h 20 mins or something and after that, I was unable to FF or REW. Does anyone have any ideas? Are there any logs that might be helpful? Thanks!

this might be unrelated but I ripped what I thought was the main movie ( say it said 1 hour 30 mins ) but when I played it back the only thing there were the previews. I didn't try selecting all the titles on the DVD I'm going to do that once I move.
