Wierd happening in ET

Hei,

When playing et, i suddenly get trown out of the game, and in the console it says "reciving signal II, exiting".

I thought maybe it could have something to do with screen saver/power management settings ,so i turned them off, then after playing for a while my pc started to beep and alarm, from inside.

What could cause this? i have a gig of ram, plenty of disk and good gf card, running latest ubuntu.

In my experience signal 11 is usually heat related, possibly a memory error, but usually processor of gfx card overheating. Try running with the case side/lid off and see if you still get the error. If you dont then consider getting a fan or better HFS for your cpu.
