Cursor movement speed

My cursor is much too reactive for my taste. How can I adjust the movement speed?

Hi. Go to 'System->Preferences->Mouse' and play with the 'Pointer Speed' sliders.

EDIT: Oops, sorry; didn't see you're on Xubuntu... Have you tried 'Applications->Settings->Mouse Settings'?
