Having recently acquired the sounds to Valve's Portal, I'm trying set up my Ubuntu Hardy system to play a random selection of sounds as its system sounds.
I'm looking for a way to have Ubuntu execute a command rather than just preselecting specific sounds for each action type. For reference, something similar to Pidgin's "Command" sound method would be brilliant, but I'm not afraid to get my hands a little dirty.
Does anyone have an idea of how to go about this?
