my super-key does not work with compiz

my super-key does not work with compiz it is recognized by the "detect key" but on the desctop it does not work
i have a acer aspitre 5612 laptop

Moved to "Desktop Effects & Customization".

open a terminal and type

gnome-keyboard-properties

(or go into system->preferences->keyboard). select the 'layout' tab, and click the 'layout options' dialogue. expand the alt/windows key behaviour tag and click 'super is mapped to the win keys'.

any luck with that?

i had the same problem on fedora. ur suggestion fixed it. cheers mate!
