ok, I recently aquired an Archos 605 wifi PVP and it supports wireless file transfer. What I want to do is setup up a wireless network on my Ubuntu machine (8.04) to transfer these files. Im not saying that I am trying to connect to a wireless router because that is not the case; I have a wireless router which is plugged into my windows machine in another room. Do I need to have a wireless router to setup a home network so that the Archos unit will recognize my Ubuntu machine, and if so, what would I need to do after I get the router to setup the wireless home network
