Hi I have a problem with Avant Window Navigator (I think a setting in compiz or emerald is messing with it). Anyways, the problem is too hard to describe, so I want to record it. I have already tried both Istanbul and recordmydesktop. The problem with Istanbul is that I can't stop recording. The tray icon is unresponsive once the recording has started. As for recordmydesktop, it is too slow and I have to ctrl-alt-f1, login, and killall. I have also tried byzanz-applet for Gnome's panel. It's supposed to save an animated gif, but it's not animated. If you know of anyothers please let me know (hopefully one that is in the repos or has a deb to download). Thanks.
