Maudio 1010 SPDIF Output

Hi guys, extreme newb migrating from windows, and I'm having issues setting up my M-audio Delto 1010. I'm trying to get output over the SPDIF line into my consumer grade reciever. I installed the Envy24 Control panel and that seems to work for output over the 1/4" lines(analogue) if I route HW out 1+2 (in the patchbay) to the Digital Mix (equivalent to monitor mixer in windows m-audio controller I assume) or leave at the default PCM Out. The SPDIF output is also listed under the patchbay tab, however neither setting it to Digital Mix or SPDIF Out has an effect on the output.

Any help is appreciated and if you need more info let me know, not quite sure how much you need. My System is as such;

AMD64 3500+
2048MB Ram
80Gb HDD (Windows)
320Gb HDD (Hardy)
M-Audio Delta 1010 sound card
Envy24 Control installed.
