Hi everybody,
I'm new in ubuntu and I'm interested in talking with skype. I cannot make video calls, I think it's a problem with my webcam: Philips webcam SPC500NC. I cannot find a useful driver for ubuntu. Can anyone help me? Thank you very much in advance

I've got this webcam too. If you install 'cheese', sudo apt-get install cheese, you'll find that its a very dark image. I'm not sure if there is a better driver, or a way to use a Windows driver for it.

Does skype recognise your webcam? Mine lists it, but I've not tried to use it yet.
