I sorely miss Launchy when I'm on my Ubuntu box...so glad they're finally doing a Linux version (http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=5095292). I'll update with install experience as soon as I get it going...

Has anyone tried launchy for linux yet?! What did you think?

I was so surprised how well and fast it works on Ubuntu 8.04.
Also I it brings some indexing functionality that I missed with katapult and similar projects. Actually it's very basic indexing features sometimes proved to be much more usable than those provided by Beagle.

I've been playing with it a little today, it seems quick and accurate, I like that it can be used for quick Google searches as well.

I'm not really a fan of launchers and such but this seems like a neat, useful program.

Yeah, Launchy's pretty cool, good thing they moved to QT :D Just a question though, whenever I invoke Launchy, an Untitled Window entry appears in the Window List in my Gnome Panel. How do I disable/remove this? Thanks!
