Hp Psc 1410

When i try to print a document, my printer goes through all the motions and actually sounds like it is printing but the paper comes out blank, my first thought was that my ink cartridge was empty so i tried again with windows xp and it worked fine. According to the applications list i have the HPLIP pre-installed on my sytem. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Problem solved
I have long since allowed my colour cartridge to empty and only replaced the black cartridge.
It was just a matter of re-setting the printer to print in black and white only.

I have this same printer with the same problem. How do you reset it to print in black and white?

Nevermind. I figured it out. I can now print in b&w. Still wish there was some way to get color though.
