I am running a dual boot with Vista and Kubuntu-Gutsy on my Dell XPS 1530.
Several weeks ago I noticed the system clock had stopped in the BIOS setup. Now my computer fails to make it through the BIOS initialization and it gives the following error message: "Time-of-day clock stopped"
This was an issue with Dapper (see http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=149565), but was supposedly resolved with later kernel and/or BIOS versions.
Has anyone else had an issue with this?
My current plan is to briefly remove the coin cell battery and then mess with hwclock or update the BIOS. Are there any other suggestions out there?
*UPDATE* Dell replaced my motherboard. Problem solved for now...
