compiz problem

i have compiz manager but cant get any of the effects to work like burn or explode ,,they worked perfectly in 7.04 before i upgraded to 8.04 ,,the efects work in the compiz folder but not after in folders any help would be appreciated

Your query isn't very clear. Open CCSM and goto preferences and click Restore to defaults. Then set up the plugins again. See if this works.

ok sorry when 7.04 was installed everything was ok if i closed a folder it would burn but now with 8.04 the folders inside the ccms burn but no where else..i reset defaults but still the same can you tell me what should and shouldnot be ticked in the settings manager many thanks

Just under the Setting up your system A-Z topic, there is a Mediafire download link. Download the 2 files and import the compiz.profile as indicated in the HOWTO.
