Jack is stuck in 48KHz

Hey guys, I've upgraded to Ubuntu Studio because I was really interested in Ardour. I've got it up and running but all of my existing audio is in 44.1KHz and when I import to Ardour it converts it to 48KHz even if I specify 44.1 in both Ardour and Jack. Ardour always starts Jack in 48KHz, so what's going wrong?
