With the recent problems that I had in trying to setup a computer with the Hardy version 8.04.1 and on a dialup connection to a local ISP (I wound up having to drop back to using Gutsy for the O/S instead of Hardy, due to the apparent bug that currently exits in Hardy related to dialup and a problem with Firefox 3.0 and the Network Manager program), what I am wondering now is if I had another machine that I wanted to put Ubuntu on and it has access to DSL high-speed internet instead of dialup, can I use the Hardy version of Ubuntu instead of Gutsy without expecting to have some sort of network connection/browsing problem like the one I experienced on the dialup configuration I had attempted to setup on the earlier machine ?

In a shorter form, does the existing dialup bug in Hardy affect high speed connections also ?

Thanks.
