Hi all,
I tranfers data between my nokia e51 phone memory card and my laptop using the data cable and connecting the phone on "Data storage mode". The phone's memory card mount just fine but there are a couple of issues that i find quite annoying and was wondering whether anyone has a solution.
1. I cant safely remove the card via the context menu option - "Unmount" in nautilus. Right clicking the mem cards icon on the desktop and chosing unmount make the icon disappear but when i pull the usb plug out pops a message on the phone saying that data transfers should be stopped before removing the cable. But typing eject /media/datacard unmount the volume just fine. Its is tedious to have to type that everytime and why does umount from the menu not work?
2. When i transfer files from the laptop to the card using nautilus it is now written to the card immediately. When i unmount it using eject i get the $ prompt back after a while suggesting that the write to card is happening only when the eject command is issued. The delay is commensurate with the amount of data being copied. Anyone have any ideas on these "weird" behaviours?
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks a ton,
