Using Jack and Ardour - Problem report

Hi there,

I'm new to Ubuntu 8.04 . My sound card works perfect for songs and games. But now I'd like to play with home studio. This is my issue: I have Jack Version: 0.3.2 and ardour 2.3.installed.Once I start any of those programs I got no sound at all, no matter what I use to play my songs.

To make it short...I cannot use Ardour to record even my voice.

Can anybody please help?

I dont use them apps but are you sure there is no output options in the settings, sometimes my sound may not work with an app as its sleected an incorrect output.

Try to post the Jack output text.

Well, thanks for the help guys. It is weird...but I believe in miracles and I'll definitely take this one:

I can't start Jack now: getting the following error:

But Ardour started working just fine :). It is recording my guitar, voice, everything. Now I can go ahead with my little rock band project.
