Hello. I've read through the forums, searched, googled and was able to do this:

Laptop- 2 Workspaces
HDTV- 2 Workspaces seperate from Laptop

Before I begin, this is the info I assume I should provide

HP DV9000ea
VGA
Ubuntu Hard Heron 8.04

Right now I have to move my cursor pass the right side of Laptop to control HDTV Workspaces

What I want to do is be able to assign Workspace 1 to Laptop and Workspace 2 to HDTV so I don't have to move my mouse/cursor all the way to the right.

What I REALLY want is this. Let's say there's Workspace-A-1, Workspace-A-2, Workspace-B-1, and Workspace-B-2

I want the Laptop to control Workspace-A-1, A-2, B-1, B-2 and being able to switch them via Ctrl+Alt+Left/Right

I also want the HDTV to show me ONLY Workspace B-1 and B-2. Is this possible?

I really have tried googling and such and I failed misreably :( Took me 2 days to actually search/setup my current setup which is Laptop having 2 Workspaces and HDTV having ANOTHER SEPERATE 2 Workspaces.

THANK YOU

It sounds like what you're looking at doing is running two different X sessions on two different monitors. If this is the case, what you're looking at doing should be possible, however it's really going to take some experimentation and research.

Good luck!
