changing web browser>>>

I tried aMsn it looks great and is a descent messaging client...Unfortunately I prefer Kopete...
*The Problem that I would like help with is finding the configuration file...So that I can edit it, so that I could use firefox instead of konqueror as the web browser...if anyone has an idea or solution for this
situation it would be much appreciated... thanks

I would like to change kopete's config file so that I can use firefox instead of konqueror ... konqeror seems to be set as the browser that gets launched instead of firefox...

I thought so. Well, you can look in your Home Directory for .kopete and look around in there for settings and config files.

I have kubuntu-desktop kde 3.5.9 over ubuntu 8.04 via terminal install .. so the folder ".kopete" does not exist. I went to /home/xuin****/.kde/share/apps/kopete/ and could not find a config file....hmmmm

Are you sure that firefox is your default application for html file types. If not change it there, and it may change you system to be what you want. In kde I think you do it in kcontrol, but I can't remember exactly.

OK...I found it in file associations in kcontrol changed the associations ...Bingo it worked thank you...I changed it in both kdesu kcontrol and regular kcontrol ....thank you so much...
