Hello all. I am new to Ubuntu. I took my Dell Inspiron 2500 and wiped out XP and loaded the Gutsy Gibbon version of Ubuntu. I even worked through my first problem thanks to these boards (fixing the resolution problem on my monitor - thanks again Boltorg).
Anyway I suspect my Inspiron Bios should probably be updated but I can't even tell what version I currently have. (I am typing this question on a different XP laptop - my Ubuntu laptop still needs to figure out how to connect to my wireless router).
Can someone tell me how I can see my BIOS version in Ubuntu?
Thanks
Peter
