Something I miss from Ubuntu

Well I HAD to move from Ubuntu to XP since I need to do some XP-related stuffs. However, there is this little utility from Ubuntu that I really miss, which is the ability to make a mounted volume (ie thumbdrive) to appear on the desktop as it is plugged in.

:) I notice that only windows doesnt have this utility.

Is there any software/tweaks that can make this trick available for XP?

you can create shortcuts of the drives on desktop, but I suppose that's not what you want
