I used synaptic to install Glipper but it didn't put it on the panel and I can't find it under the applications list. Where is it and how do I run it, please?

I don't know what glipper is, but to start it you could type "glipper" in the terminal and hit enter. If it's not exactly called "glipper" you can type the first few letters (just "gl" for instance) then press TAB to have it auto complete.
As far as making an icon in the menu, I'm not sure how to go about that.

glipper should be run on startup. System>Preferences>Sessions and add it there.

Aha! It was there but wasn't called Glipper which is, I guess, why the terminal command didn't work. It's just called clipboard manager.
And thank you lazyart for the instructions for adding it to startup.
