Previously, you could name a shortcut on the desktop to nothing (space) to have the icon of the program by itself. This action seems to be restricted on Ubuntu Hardy. Is there a fix?

If I open gconf-editor, and go to apps>nautilus>preferences and change the desktop font to 0 (eg. change it from Sans 10 to Sans 0), then I don't have any text visible.
