hi to all people out there....
I just wanted to ask for your opinion on which OS will out stand or will be better from the two? Is it XP64bit or Vista64bit?
-Please list the Pros and Cons of both OS's
-What features does each one have and don't have
-Which OS will be best for Multimedia, Gaming, Internet Browsing, Networking, And all other aspects that an advanced user or ordinary user might want with their PC..
-System Requirements of the OS's mentioned
-Cost of the CD or DVD installers of the OS's
Thanks...

the difference between XP 64 bit and vista 64 bit is just the same as the difference between XP and vista. The discussion of which is better has been had many times. Anything we attempt to discuss here will be nothing compared to what is already on the internet.

Personally I prefer XP. I actually bought a couple of discs before june 30 so that I could use them on my parents new computer which I will build in less than a year as well as for friends computers.

IMO Vista 64 has better driver supports than XP 64.
But that's what others told me. I use neither of them.

That's only better driver support doing a clean install out of the box, there would still be some drivers needed for say: ultra-new WiFi cards, graphics cards, etc.
My vote is WinXP if you want stability (I just laughed and let out a little pee as I typed that) and backwards compatibility w/ existing software on the market. Also, you'll have a better chance of being able to d/l & install direct from manf website and driver needed versus Vista driver(s) which could possibly still be in 'un-tested beta' status.

driver support is better on XP at the moment and if anything going 64 bit will make the driver support worse so I actually thing the opposite is true.

Vista x64 has better driver support than Xp x64. It also does not have some of the software compatibility issues that Xp x64 has.
