I have the same problem on two of my computers. I have not found a solution yet, but if I do, I will post back to this thread.

OK, so I can't seem to find a solution, but here is some additional information. Here are some links to where this problem is reported as well.
I've read that if you drag the icon of the video, and not the text, that it will work, but this did not work for me. Hopefully a solution will be posted to this forum or to any of the above links.

I just installed miro, I can drag and drop movies into ~/.miro/Movies with no problems. Check you permissions on the Movie directory. The permissions should be 755 on ~/.miro and all it's sub directories. You should also be the owner of the files you want to move.

The problem is not related to dragging files (videos) into a directory, but rather dragging channels into folders in the miro application itself. I have a lot of channels I subscribe to and I want them to be a little more organized within the application; however, I cannot drag and drop the channels into the folders.

I add the repository for miro and install the version 1.2.7 (http://www.getmiro.com/download/ubuntu.php). It works fine.
