This is a first for me. I have the deb file and now I just need to know how to install it they terminal

Hi and you can use the repos to install VB if you use Hardy. If it is a deb file then you just double click on it and it should give you the option to install, in fact it should have given you the option when you downloaded it.

To install it do, do sudo dpkg -i virtualbox-filename.deb

This goes for any .deb file.

Just double click the file.

The terminal can be great and a time saver, but in this case it's not.

Try:

sudo dpkg -i virtualbox.deb
