Hello,

I would like to buy a new computer now, and I want to buy a NVIDIA Gforce 9800GTK etc. etc.

Would this be supported by ubuntu?

Ubuntu doesn't "support" graphics drivers. The question would be does Nvidia support Linux. Check the Nvidia website to see if they have Linux drivers for the 9xxx series cards. I have a feeling they do as their cards typically use the same drives for many different series of cards.

Great thank you!

I just bought one yesterday. Not exactly that one, but a smaller brother of it from the 9000 series. It will be delivered in about 2 weeks. Once I have it, I will let you guys know how it works!
