[SOLVED] Are IP Tables in Kubuntu and Xubuntu?

Hi,
I know that IP tables are in place in Ubuntu, therefore a firewall is not required.
Are IP tables in place for Kubuntu & Xubuntu?
Do Kubuntu & Xubnutu have equal security levels as Ubuntu?

kubuntu and xubuntu's bases are based on ubuntu. they have the same thing under the hood.

You might want to make sure that iptables is configured though.
