Hi, I have recently installed 8.04 on my laptop after decideing to upgrade from 7.10.

I have tried to connect to my wireless manually, and even though my ESSID is picked up, I have chosen WEP (hex) as my password type, entered my 13 hex pairs password, chosen DHCP, yet I stil can't access the interent.

When I use the roaming method of connecting, I type my net key in and then a few seconds later I am asked for a passphrase even though I have just entered it!

Could anybody tell me if there's something I've missed out or have done wrong, cheers Chris

Update:

When I set up the connection in roaming mode everything seems fine, I get bars telling me my connection with "ESSID" is 100% and then when I try and use update manager or firefox the dialog box appears asking for my passphrase and this keeps happening every 30 secs or so.
