Dell Latitude new battery but won't bootup, huh ?

My Dell Latitude C810 has a new battery which it keeps charged but will NOT bootup from the battery. I've checked and it is fully charged according to the BIOS. It runs fine from the new battery but won't boot or stay up without the charger plugged in. What's wrong and how do I fix it, please ?

Updating my dell to bios version a12 fixed a lot of problems!

Maybe worthwile to check?

I downloaded a bootable iso file from
http://www.bay-wolf.com/flashbios.htm

burn the iso to cdr or cdrw. (I used gnomebaker) Boot from the cd.
