I have 2 Cable modems (PPPoE) connected to 2 NIC's set to roam and they are installed on one PC. I want to combine the bandwidth to enable me to run a small web server. I know if I was running windows I would be able to use wingate server but as I am new to Ubuntu I really don't know where to turn.
I have read various post over the last 4 weeks and people suggest network bonding, I have tried this but the results are not what I expected as the speed it that of one modem. Is there any software which could be configured to get the same results in ubuntu as I do in wingate under XP.
In XP I can get
30000mbts/sec+ Download
1950mbts/sec Upload
With network Bonding in Ubuntu I get
14000mbts/sec Download
960mbts/sec Upload
Can someone please suggest something as its driving me crazy.
