Hi everyone!
I am having problems at home, the wireless network is detected but when introducing password, it is not valid, I called my ISP but all they did is leave it open and make the broadcast invisible to others. Thatīs the only way I can connect, but when I go to a hotspot I have problems, canīt connect even I detect it, I tried different WEP choices. How should I configure my security?

In my job I get a different error: security connection failed

Thanks in advance

The ISP I use doesn't use wireless security on its hotspots, but takes you to a special page where you put in your details. Their instructions are at http://telecom.co.nz/content/0,8748,204167-203328,00.html

Maybe your ISP uses similar arrangements.

I just looked at http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=5328822&postcount=3

For Hotspots, if you have wireless networking set to "Roaming" mode, your system will automatically detect what kind of WEP settings to use and ask you for a password only if it's needed.

For your home machine, have a look here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=202834&highlight=setting+wpa

I am sure this will help, I just took a quick look at it. I need to attend classes for now, later Iīll work on it.

Thank you very very much.
