View Full Version : [ubuntu] HALP! I'm Breakin Yous Ubuntus!

New Ubuntu user here and I have a few questions. First, do I have to enable dual core in Ubuntu 8.04x64? Or is this enabled by default? I also have a S5831 Toshiba laptop using an Atheros code that does not seem to be detected by default. I'm not sure exactly of the model of the Atheros however.How can I find that out and how can I get this card to work?

the easiest graphic method of checking is to launch the system monitor, press alt+F2 and highlight/middle click gnome-system-monitor check the resources tab and see how many CPU's it's monitoring.

(highlight middle click is the linux shortcut to copy/paste, simply highlight what you want and middle click the mouse to paste it out where your clicking)
