for some reason my torrent downloads open in a seperate firefox download window instead of all in transmission or azureus

Go to edit > preferences in firefox. Click on applications at the top. Look for Bittorent Seed File in the list. Click on it. Now a drop down arrow appears on the right. See if your torrent client of choice is listed. If not choose open with other and look for the program in /usr/bin

what file do i select in the azureus folder?

You have to choose Open with when saving a file in Firefox. Tell it to open with your bittorrent client instead of saving the file as is.

Btw, try Deluge instead. Its wayy better than Azureus and is more usable than Transmission whcih can be quite basic. Deluge is quite a bit like the famous uTorrent which windows users all love and adore for being only a few kb and a single exe! :D

there shouldn't be an azereus folder in /usr/bin just a file called azereus. I just saw it opens a nautilus gui. click filesystem on the left then you can navigate to /usr/bin
