Hello,
I currently have ubuntu installed on a separate partition/harddrive than my Windows XP installation. Both operating systems worked fine. After install and uninstall of Windows application under XP, I had a corrupted Windows file system. I reinstalled Windows XP on separate partition/harddrive and it removed my dual-boot options. How do I reinstall Grub or make my system a dual-boot again? I have not tried the ubuntu CD as of yet. Will it recognize that there is already a ubuntu load on the machine? Will it reinstall Grub?

I would like to leave my current ubuntu install alone since I have updated and added numerous software.

Thank you,

Russell

It might not, so download and burn the ISO for "super grub disk". That will do all you need.

It looks like windows has replaced the Grub boot menu.

If you've got a Live CD, these steps here should reinstate the GRUB menu.
