hello!
I downloaded ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron one week ago.I connected to the internet and the update utility told me that there are 220 updates for me, which sums up to a total of 220MBytes. the problem is that I don't know which updates should I install on my pc. I would be very happy to get here any advice.
Thank you in advance

All of them, Most of them are fixes or security updates or updates for programs.

Thank you for your help.
But I read in some places that downloading all the updates could cause some problems. please let me know if you have already downloaded all updates, and have you had any problems.
Thank you very much for your cooperation.

You should be fine installing all. If you don't want unnecessary downloads, you can remove applications you don't want before updating, using the Add/Remove programs option. That way, you won't upgrade any applications you're not going to use anyway.
Beside that, it is a good idea to install all the updates upon a fresh install, since there have been a lot of fixes since Hardy Heron came out.

Unless someone else had the exact hardware and exact software installed that you do, it would not necessarily be correct advice.
