Hello! I have an issue here. Alsa works fine with 5.1 audio using the command speaker-test -Dplug:surround51 -c6 -l1 -twav
i can hear all speakers fine. BUt when I use xine, xbmc, any other video, dvd, it cannot produce 5.1 audio. It is stereo. what is causing my problem?

Never Mind! I managed to find in xine the stereo to 5.1 option. right click on the screen->setup
under gui, i have "master of the known universe" selected and in audio, I use alsa driver and I scroll down and select 5.1 under "speaker arrangement" I got lost and didnt bother seeing there was a scroll bar. :lolflag:

ohh btw, how can we get vlc to work with 5.1? I cannot seem to get this one to work nice. It only shows a few devices and they are not 5.1
